Redmi K40 fresh leak suggests a 120hz screen and 4,500mAh battery

Xiaomi’s affordable sub-brand seems to be working on its next flagship – the Redmi K40 series. Rumour mills have been gushing about the upcoming Redmi phone powered by Dimensity 1000+ SoC. Recently, a tipster named Digital Chat Station hinted that the Redmi K40 lineup. The same tipster dropped a few more hits with regards to the Redmi K40.

A fresh leak from the same leakster now claims that the Redmi K40 houses a display a 120Hz refresh rate screen. He also revealed that phone 4,500mAh battery inside. The leakster also believes that the phone K40 will include a notch-less display and pop-up selfie camera design. The handset is expected to house a 4,500mAh battery.

While the leak has no information about 5G support, recently it was spotted at radio frequency certification which suggests that the upcoming Xiaomi phone will be 5G ready.

Recently, an alleged Redmi K40 with model number M2006J10C passed China’s 3C certification revealing 33W fast charging support. That’s now all, there have been a few other rumours related to the Redmi K40 circulating online. Some of them suggest that the Redmi K40 will feature a quad-rear camera setup with Sony IMX686 64-megapixel as a primary sensor. If that’s true, Xiaomi will be using the same sensor as the Poco X2 (review) which is a rebranded version of Chinese Redmi K30 smartphone.

The Redmi K40 is expected to launch in the month of July. Like always, Xiaomi is expected to start teasing the upcoming Redmi phone a least a week before the official launch. Since non- of this information is officially confirmed by Xiaomi we would urge you to take it with pinch of salt.
