Sony had deferred the last week’s Playstation 5 launch in light of the ongoing Black Lives Matter protest against police brutality and discriminatory acts in the US. Sony had released a statement that said, “We needed to step aside so key voices could be heard during this historic and important time.”
The company has freshly announced the rescheduled date to be June 11.

The “Future of Gaming” event will be thus streamed on YouTube and Twitch at 1700 GMT (10:30 pm).

We have also seen the new PS5 DualSense Controller and some of the key specs already.
And on Thursday, we will witness the hotly-anticipated console for the first time. Sony will layout PS5’s complete specs and features. Not just that, it will be the presentation of new games. Here’s an example of what you could expect:
Meanwhile, for the fans of Xbox, the wait for Series X launch could be longer than we thought. As per VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb, the “Xboxing day”, ie the launch event of Series X could get further postponed. He says, perhaps Microsoft wants Sony to “go first”.
